That’s a plus when you need an awesome object lesson! In the grand scheme of things, football is not too terribly important but it is a sport that many kids are familiar with. Depending on how rowdy your class is, you may or may not decide to run a few plays using a Nerf football.
The book of Philippians reminds us to push through and persevere, no matter what. Remind your kids that people are not the enemy, it is spiritual opposition that stands against us. Explain to the children that the Christian life requires us to put on our game face, get the ball and face the enemy. Put the ball on the floor in between them.
